DETAILS: Pit toilet at campground. Stream water for horses but no potable water so bring your personal water.
DISPERSED CAMP AREA. No electric or hookups and no corrals. High line, electric fence, or tie horses to trailers.
NO DOGS on work rides or in camp kitchen area. If you bring your dog please keep him at your camp area.
As a safety suggestion, I would recommend you have a current TETANUS shot, as we will be working with old wire. Old clothes and leather gloves will be wise to wear. I will bring my propane campfire / others are welcome to bring fire wood if we are allowed campfires.
Thursday June 22nd
We will be bringing in our gear to set up. FRBCH will bring our camp kitchen, including pans, stove, propane, dishes, tables and kitchen canopies. Those who can come down Thursday please help do some setup. Bring your breakfast and lunches except for the 3 group meals we will be planning.
Friday June 23
Be ready to ride and head out at 10 a.m. We will be doing some trail clearing and maintenance. There are a couple dead fall trees to be cut and some work on the trail leading out of camp. The main objective will be to pull up and roll up old barbed wire that is left from old ranch fences. Bring leather gloves and clothing to protect from wire scratches and such. Friday evening dinner will be a group meal.
Saturday June 24
Fix your own breakfast and lunch and be ready to head out 10 a.m. We know some folks will be able to travel farther and work and others will prefer to do things closer to camp. We want everyone who will join us to do what they are able. Saturday evening dinner will be a group meal.
Sunday June 25
Sunday morning we plan to have a group breakfast. Then pack up the camp kitchen. Those who would like to just do a ride or relax, do as they please and leave camp for home when ready.
