We are planning to tackle downed trees on the section of Colorado Trail that FRBCH has adopted. This section goes from Rolling Creek Trailhead into Lost Park, covering about 10 miles or so.

If you can come, please plan to park just below the Rolling Creek TH (Turn around for trucks and trailers at Windy Point Outdoor Lab about a mile below the TH on CR68) and to be mounted ready to ride by 9:30 AM so we can beat the heat and possible T-storms.

Directions from Denver area: Hwy 285 south to Bailey. Slow down as you enter town as you need to turn left at the bottom of the long hill on CR68. Follow it for about 3 miles to a fork and take the right fork going another mile or so passing CR 860 coming in from the left and looking for TH on the right. Go past the trailhead to Windy Peak Outdoor Lab and turn around in parking lot there returning outside the lab area and parking alongside CR68 just before the TH. Parking at the TH is limited and while there are 2 possible lots, the upper one will not accommodate a truck and trailer!

Pack a lunch with plenty of water, wear a hat or helmet, have gloves, rain gear (always a possibility), and carry saws, loppers, small axes (if you have them). We plan to have the crosscut saw, lopper and a few smaller saws strapped to our saddles available for general use.

Please call us if you can join the group to clear our adopted section of Colorado Trail! Always fun and looks like great weather for us!
