Michele, Hovet, cofounder of Community Equestrian, a Colorado Equine Advocacy Group, and coauthor of the pending bill SB 25-149 Local Government Duties Equestrian Protections will review the components of the bill due to be heard in March. This legislation has been developed to codify local government agencies to implement zoning, signage and education to protect equestrian venues, facilities and properties, construct infrastructure necessary to access equestrian road crossings and trail access among other important safety considerations in municipalities and counties.
