On June 13th five Front Range Back Country Horsemen set out from Rolling Creek
Trailhead to clear the Colorado Trail Segment 4.1. Our team consisted of Donna Fleischer, Bill Klink, Deb Black, Jack Wealing and Joan Wealing. As we traveled up CT Segment 4.1, we did not encounter any trees that needed to be cleared from the trail. We did see a few fresh cuts that indicated someone had already worked on the trail. After discussing the condition of the CT Segment 4 with a hiker, who indicated that the trail was quite clear, we decided to divert our efforts and go on Payne Creek Trail. Our decision played out as we came upon and cleared 11 trees from the trail.
