Boys annual camping trip

Christmas Tree Ambassador rides – These rides are to promote Christmas cheer while volunteering as search and rescue for the Forest Service.  The tree cutting is limited to two or three weekends in an area that is mostly south and west of Highway 126 and F.S. Road 550.  The weekends begin on the Friday after Thanksgiving, Saturday and Sunday.  The other weekends are the first two Saturdays and Sundays in December.  We try to ride between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day circulating among the people in a goodwill effort to keep them safe, answer questions and support the forest service rangers in keeping tabs on it all.

Decorating you and your horse is encouraged as people out cutting Christmas trees love hearing bells and seeing the ponies attired as elves, Santa, reindeer and such. It is usually a lot of fun and gives FRBCH a chance to advertise our organization’s mission as we visit with people and the kids pet the noses of our horses.
