Since this ride is scheduled for Saturday, we will avoid the US-285 traffic crunch on Sunday evening.

We need more ride leaders, so this is your chance to get some experience. Dan Shier will be there to mentor you if you wish to lead this ride.

This ride is about 11 miles round trip, ending up right at timberline where it intersects the Three Mile Creek trail. This trail does not generally have a lot of down trees, so ends up being more a matter of riding and using loppers to attack any brush that is invading the trail.

Contact default ride leader Dan Shier if you can go or if you have any questions dan@rockypine.com. He will provide trail clearing tools and our classy vests for all riders. Although the weather is expected to be fairly dry, be sure to bring gloves and rain gear. Be ready to ride at 9:30 am.

Deer Creek Trailhead
Proceed SW on US285 past the traffic light at Pine Junction. Turn right at the next traffic light, several miles down the road. You will see a gas station on the right (north). Proceed 6.8 miles to a point where there are about 40 mailboxes on the right side. Take the left hand fork which is paved. Proceed up that road past the campground (where the road turns to gravel) to the big wide open trailhead parking lot.
